OUR STORY

CliqOnU was founded in 2020 by Vivian Liu Hyun and Jennifer Humphrey.

Born in China, growing up in New York City, Vivian watched her grandma working as a seamstress in the fashion industry, which inspired her to pursue a career in fashion after graduating from NYU. She served as the head buyer for numerous iconic fashion companies for 15+ years, until the arrival of her two boys. 

Growing up in Chicago, and studying at NYU, Jennifer was always drawn to self-expression and the arts, but the seed of business was planted in her from a young age, while she watched her parents' creative passions become their business. This combination of creativity and business led her to the role of VP of Business Development at a leading lash company, while raising her two children. 

These busy moms, with a need for looking good on the go, met through their children, and bonded with an equal passion, to come together as women and build a business where they can express their creativity. While raising a family and managing their busy careers they found it hard to fit in time for themselves. What better way to feel put together then a beautiful set of unique and creative nails. They decided to take things into their own hands. Vivian, coming from a fashion background was inspired by the Ready To Wear concept and Jennifer coming from the cosmetics world was inspired by beauty on the go, these two ideas birthed CliqOnU Ready To Wear Nails.
